Adsorption of Tannase from Aspergillus ficuum to carboxyl-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes

نویسندگان

چکیده

The immobilization of cross-linked tannase onto carboxyl-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT-COOH) was achieved via physical adsorption. Glutaraldehyde used to cross-link the enzyme molecules. Spectroscopic and morphological characterizations enzyme-nanotubes composite were carried out, which authenticated successful adsorption event. Enzyme is proven equal to, or even superior than free tannase, in terms catalytic activities stabilities, when measured under different thermal, pH recycling conditions. Whilst both immobilized preparations exhibited optimum catalysis at 5.0 35?C, tannase-nanotubes possesses better thermal stability. preparation retained 75 % its initial activity following ten consecutive uses. study demonstrated a facile method produce catalytically efficient nanobiocatalyst for biotechnological applications.

Adsorption of Methyl orange dye from Water solutions by carboxylate group functionalized multi-walled Carbon nanotubes

The present study was carried out to investigate the potential of carboxylate group functionalized Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT−COOH) adsorbent for the removal of Methyl orange (MO) textile dye from aqueous solutions. The effects of pH, shaking time and temperature on adsorption capacity were studied; the contact time to obtain equilibrium at 298 ˚K was fixed at 25 min. The effect of te...

Adsorption of Humic Acid On Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes

Background: Natural organic matters (NOMs) have the main role in formation of trihalomethanes. These compounds are in natural water sources due to biological activities. In the presented study, adsorption and separation of humic acid as an index of natural organic matters using multi-walled carbon nanotubes is evaluated. Methods: The experiments were carried out in bath adsorption reactors wit...

Epoxy functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes for improved adhesives

Three different types of epoxy-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (EpCNTs) were prepared by multiple covalent functionalization methods. The EpCNTs were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and Raman spectroscopy to confirm covalent functionalization. The effect of the different chemistries on the adhesive properties was compared to a neat c...
